One of my favorite organizational “wins” was my idea to create a bin of “outing activities” where I can quickly grab something to keep the kiddos occupied while we’re out at a restaurant or event. One of the biggest hits has always been these little containers for Crayola Color Wonder markers & mini coloring pages. They hold 6 markers and more coloring sheets than we’ve ever had at one time. If Color Wonder isn’t your speed, they can also hold regular markers and mini coloring sheets. I like the color wonder for our 2 & 3 year olds because they can’t ruin that clean outfit that I just put on them.
Crayola also makes their Color Wonder Travel Tote which is a larger version, but I like now this smaller version, dubbed the “Mini Stow & Go”, fits into whatever purse or bag I’m already carrying.
One problem, though. They are dreadfully boring-looking and one sister always seems to get the “better” one –– even though they are completely identical.
No problem, though, because I now own the crafting magic that is a Silhouette Cameo. It only took a few minutes to create these decals in pink and purple using fun fonts already on my computer and a shape I downloaded for free with my start-up kit. Each line is 3.25″ wide to fit between details on the boxes so I just resized the text to fit.
The girls know that identical things are generally coded pink for Chloe & purple for Cora + they can identify their first names anyhow. This quick little pretty craft just make everyone’s life slightly easier again. Plus, they are so cute now!
