This grandmother is my style. Â Multi-talented and clearly a woman who will find a way to Get. It. Done.
I love the details she put into both the woodwork and the crafts. Â The details are amazing. Â She’s quite the Renaissance Woman! Â The sewn felt food… the hand-painted typography… the common shelves and cabinets converted into play objects…
It’s all SO much better than over-priced, Made-In-China, store-bought, will-last-for-18-months landfill junk. Â Not only is it clearly made with love, but the quality is so much better.
Screw bra-burning.  THIS is what the feminist revolution should have been about.  Women kicking ass to make great things.  Even if it’s hard work.  Even if they are using “man’s” skills.  Even if they are using old-school housewife skills like sewing.  None of this up-cycling for the sake of up-cycling. There’s heart & soul + rhyme & reason in this project.
If anyone knows any more to the story, let us know.  What I was able to gather from this Facebook post is that a grandmother converted a basement space into this dream play spot for her grandchildren.
Love it. Â You go, girl!

This is any grandchild’s dream! She better win a grandmother of the year award, because this is amazing! So well done! Thanks for sharing this story.
She is definitely a badass, a motivation, an inspiration, mighty, super woman, all the superlatives fall short and looks so beautiful, slim, extremely confident and dynamic.
Girls power 🙂
Hey Aria, thanks for sharing this post. It’s so crazy what this very skilled lady achieved, I have to say that she is more skilled or at least more creative than me:) . I love to see women in construction, I am a PRO within this industry and I am very happy to see that we have more and more women in the construction industry.
Really loved the skills that his grandma has, I bet if my baby girl see this post she will ask me to have something like this build for her 🙂
Great post !
