Unless you’re one of the rare, lucky folks with the means to hire an amazing designer and buy all new furniture and accessories when you move or redecorate, your home is likely an ever-evolving masterpiece.  A collection of your favorite, most meaningful items along with a few classic pieces as well as some of the latest trends.

Since I’m at home a lot more with kids this summer, I’ve been spending a lot of time looking around focusing on what could use some sprucing –– as well as those areas that didn’t turn out quite right or weren’t quite finished.  I like to invest in a few key classic pieces that I know I will have for decades to come, but don’t want to spend a ton on more trendy & seasonal items that may or not come with us on the next move (it will happen at some point for us).  That’s where places like Pier 1 come in where you can grab some fun, stylish pieces that won’t break the bank.  While I’m re-accessorizing our entry way to meet the needs of our ever-evolving home (our formal living room is now half “tasteful” gymnasium, half living space), I love getting inspiration for other areas of my home as well.

Here are some items that caught my eye:

So how are you redecorating this summer?

Or is it just me that can’t help sprucing up my home while spending extra time with out-of-school kids?  Personally, I can’t wait to re-accessorize and re-freshen our home after spring cleaning.
