The top questions that I get both on and offline are about were I source my finds. I love thrifting and shopping Craigslist for hidden treasures, but the best design isn’t limited to bargain, second-hand, antique, or new furniture. The most amazing spaces almost always have a curated mix of new pieces, family heirlooms and second-hand treasures.
I often find the new pieces in her home while taking a minute to sit back with a cup of coffee and my iPad and browse my favorite flash sale sites. Here’s a list of great sale sites to peruse when you’re looking for a particular piece or even just some inspiration.

- Gilt Home
I love Gilt for clothing, jewelry, and kids finds as well, but I’ve found some amazing pieces of furniture and art at Gilt. It’s the original flash sale site and they really know what they are doing. They air on the higher-end, but have many affordable options. It’s my favorite to browse on a relaxed morning because I know they will have some high-quality, discounted goodies. - One Kings Lane
One Kings Lane has a great selection from accessories to furniture including some vintage items. I haven’t found their vintage prices to be that great, but have found some great accessories, small furniture items, and kitchenware that we love. I really like that you can cut through the clutter and search by item type when you are hunting for something in particular, like a side table or desk. - HauteLook Home
HauteLook has more than just clothing and accessories. They often have great deals on fun home finds. I’ve purchased some modern furniture and artwork that we love. If you love replica mid-century modern furniture this is a good one to watch because they frequently carry discount versions of Herman Miller and other popular items. - Joss & Main
This is a home goods specific site with mostly new items, usually at lower price points than Gilt & One Kings Lane. They carry more household linens, like pillows and curtains, than the others and have some great furniture options as well. This is a great one to check often. They occasionally have the same items as One Kings Lane and for a little less, just watch the shipping surcharges. - RueLaLa
RueLala is most similar to HauteLook in that most of their sales are clothing and accessories, but they also have home goods and furnishings and when they do, they are great sales.

I am really enjoying the theme/design of your website. Do
you ever run into any internet browser compatibility
issues? A number of my blog audience have complained about my blog not
working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Firefox.
Do you have any advice to help fix this issue?
We haven’t had many compatibility issues and also don’t have much traffic from IE users.
My brother in law just moved into a new home and are wanting to do some decorating. They don’t have a ton of money, so they are looking for some cheaper decor that still looks good. I’ll have to show them this and see if they can find anything on here that they like.
